The first edition of this biography of Birgitta written by Guglielmo Burlamacchi was published in 1692, in Naples, and subsequently reprinted in 1709 (Giouan Battista Pelagalli), 1720 (Francesco Ricciardo), 1725 (Agnolo Vocola) and 1769 (Gaetano Albizzini). In 1714 a Portugese version, translated by Gaspar de San Antonio, was published by Antonio Pedrozo Galram with the title "La dichosa peregrina" etc
