Guglielmo Burlamacchi

Guglielmo Burlamacchi (1659–1696), born in Lucca, entered the Congregazione de' Chierici Regolari della Madre di Dio in 1674 as a novice, later becoming a scholar of philosophy and theology. He wrote a biography of Birgitta of Sweden, that was first published in 1692 in Naples (Vita della serafica madre e gloriosissima vedova S. Brigida di Svetia principessa di Nericia) and reprinted a number of times after this.
