The Informaciones were written in 1380 by Alfonso of Jaén as a commentary on the election of Urban V, defending the pope against the supporters of antipope Clement VII. In one chapter of this work, Alfonso describes some of Birgitta's relationships with the popes. He cites a number of revelations unedited, which he afterwards compiled into Tractatus de summis pontificibus.
