Juan de Torquemada
Life
Juan de Torquemada (Johannes de Turrecremata, 1388 – 26 September 1468) entered the Dominican order while young, being made cardinal in 1439. He took part in the Council of Basel and wrote a defense of the Revelations of Birgitta of Sweden (Declarationes revelationum sanctae Birgittae).
